This privacy notice applies to the website, web reader, search, quiz, stories, saved progress, and the upcoming mobile app.
1. Information We Collect
We use Google Sign-In to authenticate users. We only receive your basic profile information such as email address and name. This is strictly used to sync bookmarks across devices.
2. Data Security
Your saved bookmarks, highlights, and quiz scores are stored securely using Firebase encrypted servers.
3. Third-party Sharing & Zero Data Selling
We do not sell, trade, rent, or commercially exploit any user data or personally identifiable information.
4. Website and Cookies
The website stores language, sign-in session, and reading progress in your browser. Optional analytics run only if you accept the cookie banner.
5. Data Protection Laws (DPDP Act & IT Act)
Dhamma Pitak strictly complies with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices) Rules, 2011. We never collect or process Sensitive Personal Data (such as passwords, banking credentials, or biometric info). All network transfers are strictly encrypted via TLS 1.3 / HTTPS.
6. User Rights & Data Deletion
Users possess full rights to access, rectify, or delete their stored reading bookmarks, highlights, and account data upon request.
